The Douglas County Sheriff’s Nexus Unit was established in 2021 by Sheriff Jay Armbrister. The focus of the unit is the apprehension of career criminals and the investigation of crimes with a nexus to illegal drugs. The unit is comprised of a Lieutenant, three Deputies and an analyst. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is staffed by three detectives, a computer forensic investigator, and a crime scene technician. In addition to the investigation of major crimes, the Investigations Division assists the Patrol Division through training, investigative follow-up, and evidence and crime scene processing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
