Fingerprint Appointment Requirements
Please read the following for vital information before scheduling:
Fingerprints are done by appointment for Douglas County residents only. There is no charge, but proof of residency and photo ID are required. Please bring BOTH proof of residency and a photo ID with you for your appointment. Fingerprints will NOT be done without BOTH of these items.
Residency documentation includes at least one of the following:
- Current Kansas Driver’s License or Kansas state-issued ID with your name and Douglas County address
- Recent utility or other bill or receipt with your name and Douglas County address
- Online account verification on your phone or tablet that displays your name and Douglas County address
Photo ID may include one of the following:
- Driver's License (from any State)
- State-issued ID Card (from any State)
- Passport (from any Country)
- We use the Live Scan fingerprinting system, but the fingerprint card IS NOT sent electronically. We provide fingerprints on FD-258 print cards which are supplied by us (unless you bring another card to use) .
- Prints can be mailed by us if you supply a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE), an appropriately-sized envelope which is self addressed and has correct postage affixed.
- Fingerprint cards CANNOT be folded.
